Silver Weather Stacking Rings
My (and the rest of Britain's!) obsession with the weather continues. Some time ago now, I started making some sterling silver cloud stacking rings from my mini weather castings and I’ve finally finished them, hurrah!
Inspired by the classic BBC weather symbols, I have little clouds, with and without gemstones, a little sunshine (which is quite spiky!) and my favourite – a little grumpy thundercloud with black ruthenium plating and diamond.
I’ve also made some little cloud band rings, which were cut from thick solid silver sheet, then hammered into rings and carved. I think I’m going to make some little pear shaped gemstone stacking rings to go with them at some point.
As I’ve now reached my goal of finishing all (well alright, most of) the little things that have been skulking reproachfully on my workbench, abandoned and half-made, I can get started on some new designs.
