I Have a Website (Again!)

So, after emerging broken yet triumphant from my last battle with Wordpress, it turned out that I had to start again not a year later. Booooo. The company I got my last theme framework from decided to disappear from the face of the earth and no longer provide updates, so gradually bits of my site started to no longer work. I had rather hoped it would just be as simple as picking a new theme, installing it and hoping for some kind of wizardy intervention to make it go, but no such luck. Decided to switch from WP E-Commerce to WooCommerce as well, as it’s much more stable, so basically, even though all of my content would still exist in some form in the new theme, I had to start the ecommerce side all over again.

I also took the opportunity to resize all my images to standard sizes, as a lot of the ones on my old site were ridiculously large for a website.

Anyway, after some epic arguments with Wordpress and much dramatic wailing in despair as I amended bits of code and ended up with a blank screen of doom yet again (there's a reason people pay other people who know what they're doing to do this), I finally have my new site.

It appears to work and I rather like it.
