Grey Diamond Earrings

There were so many beautiful gemstones at IJL this year, but my eye kept being drawn back to some beautiful grey diamonds. They had unusual salt and pepper speckles and a beautiful sparkle – I hadn’t seen anything quite like them before, and they are ethically sourced. I knew they would make wonderful tiny diamond stud earrings and I’ve finally got around to making them in 18k gold.

Aren’t they beautiful? And so tiny! These are 2mm and 2.3mm diamonds, and I’ve also made some 2.5 and 2.7mm studs. I thought the warmth of the 18k yellow gold would really work with the sparkly grey diamonds and I’m totally keeping these for myself!
